OMG! I'm so laid back and such a procrastinator! I always wait till the last minute to do things. Everything seems to be falling into place, but there's still last minute things like printing a program and baking cookies and arranging the flowers... eep!
Anyways, I realize now that I should have taken pictures of the flower girl dresses... yes, I have three flower girls that are between 3 and a half and 2 and a half... They say I'm brave.. My dad's lady friend made the three dresses and the junior bridesmaid dress and I had my camera today when she was showing them to me and I should have taken a picture... oh well. Instead, this is a picture of the flower girl shoes I picked out. They are going to be so cute!
I'm about ready to freak out!

Bad Penny
Here's the upper part of my Bad Penny. I'm using Rowan Summer Tweed. Some people say that they don't like the yarn, but I don't hate it. I don't think I would have picked it for myself, it's not too terribly bad to knit with. There is some debry, but it's not bothering my. One of the secretaries at work gave it to me out of her stash.
Right now I'm about an inch or so past the underarms. I haven't decided on the trim yet. I don't want anything to contrasty... I'll probably end up with a lighter or darker shade of brown. I was thinking about orange, but I haven't decided yet. I have to find a LYS that sells the summer tweed so I can go in and compare colors. Anybody know of a yarn similar to summer tweed??

blue pinwheel blanket spotted in the wild
The blue pinwheel blanket has been gifted! It was greatly appreciated (and used the same day it was gifted, although, not by the recipient).
Finding this picture reminds me that I have a few more baby blankets to finish. One is the yellow and green log cabin that is done except for the weaving in of the ends. The other two are mostly done, I just ran out of yarn and need to find some more....
My Bad Penny is coming right along... slowly but surely.

Knitting at the bar
So, my bachlorette party was last night. We had a plan, but the plan was thrown out the door when the restaurant we were going to was closed (like, boarded up closed) We ended up at a different sushi place, which wasn't too good. It wasn't horrible, but they didn't have the rolls i like and that was a bit of a disappointment.
Anyways, a co-worker and I started out earlier since we got off a bit too late to make it home before we were suppose to be back downtown. We walked to Knit/purl. I love that store because it's within walking distance of work and I can get there an back in 30 minutes (if I know what I want and I don't look at anything else).
At Knit/Purl, I got some Sea Wool by Fleece Artist. I finished my Sea Silk scarf a few weeks ago (no pix yet) and I really wanted to try the wool. I picked out the woodland colorway. It's brown and blue and green with some tan. I'll probably do another scarf, but this time I'm going back to feather and fan..... of course, I would have liked to buy two skeins of it so I could do one of those cool scarfs from LMKG. Oh well.
Anyways, at the bar, I pulled out my new yarn to show my cousin and the rest of the group was weirded out a bit. It was funny. Then I pulled my sweater I'm working on now. So, this is my knitting at the bar picture. It probably smells like smoke now.

Llama in Scappoose
I know not many people read my blog, but that's okay. I just want to share with you the new yahoo group I joined. It's for Portland-area-ish knit bloggers! If you live in the area and knit and blog, you should come and join... or if you don't have a blog yet, go and check out all the cool blogs and maybe you'll want to start your own.

About the picture: Last night we drove out to St. Helens to see a puppy (that we're totally getting when we get back from our Honeymoon). On our way back, we stopped at one of our fave new Hawaiian restaurants. Every time we go, I always have said, "I should take a picture of those llamas." And I never have. They are in their field, right up against the parking lot for the restaurant. Last night, I did take one.... although, it's a crappy camera phone picture. I edited it in picnik and it looks much better now.
Every time I see a llama, I say "I'm a llama again... . oh" (from Emperor's New Groove) yeah.

Another find: picnik.com
So, I keep finding these websites that are quite fun to mess around with. First it was fd's Flickr Toys Then jyte and moo. Now it's picnik
If you haven't heard about it, well, it's just a free online picture editor. It's cooler than fd's Flickr Toys because it lets you crop and change the coloring and add borders and tons of stuff. One thing to look out for with the rounded corners is to choose a background color for the little corner pieces to match the page you're putting it on. Originally, I was just going to upload this to flickr, so I chose white. I suppose I can go back to change it to grey, but that would require effort.
