If you haven't already checked it out, please do so. They update a couple of times a day and it's hilarious! If anyone knows of any other lolcatz places that are worth seeing, please let me know!

And to prove that I've been knitting:

That's right, I'm on the third color already! Yayz! The reason I'm not further is scrapbooking! I'm trying to get the wedding scrapbook done (just started), the honeymoon, and a sports one (from my old team pictures that I just unearthed in my old bins). Then it's back to working on the two Disneyland albums (went twice in two years, I'm behind!)... that doesn't count all the everyday stuff I like to do.

Yeah. Now that all the wedding stuff is over, I might be doing more knitting and scrapbooking.

Chibi knits

DSC_0009.JPG, originally uploaded by a-chan.

Well, the puppers is being introduced to knitting slowly. He likes to chew on the yarn. But, since I was taking pictures of him and my knitting bag was sitting right next to him, I decided to pull it out and see what happened. He sniffed it a bit and then he made a grab for the bamboo needles. Back in the bag it went and he seemed to shrug and say "oh well"

The new puppers! .... And Harry Potter (no knitting)

DSC_0032.JPG, originally uploaded by a-chan.

Meet Chibi! He's a Yorkie/Jack Russell mix. He got his dad's looks and possibly his mom's ADHD (you know how Jack Russells are). We're working on potty training him. Some days I think we're doing great... and then he pees on the floor. I guess that's what puppies do.

I haven't tried knitting around him yet. But last night I needed to wind some yarn so I'd have a project for tonight (more on the later). At first he ignored it, but then when I was getting to the end, he decided that he'd like to taste it. I caught him before he made too much of a mess with it.

Then this morning I went into the craft room to get some needles for today and he followed me in. Next thing I know, he's in the hall with a big pink yarn cake. Granted it was acrylic, but it was still yarn. He's been banished from the craft room (which is now in progress to becoming an old school video game haven/craft room/guest room/future nursery (some day)).

Tonight, I'm taking the bus to Twisted for an Eastside knit-blogger meet-up. I've never really been to a meet-up. I'm a bit shy. So, if you see me, come and talk to me or something! I'll be wearing a blue striped shirt and a blue tank top and knitting a pink pinwheel blanket.

Now, on to Harry Potter!

*NO SPOILERS*

Of course I had to read it the day it came out. I picked it up at midnight (wearing my Hufflepuff scarf, of course), read till 4am, slept for 4 hours, woke up and read straight through to 10pm. I guess I'm a slow reader, but I wanted to savor it.

It was great! I loved it! I hadn't made any predictions, but I had some theories I was right about (and some that I was totally wrong).

The next day I had a Harry Potter Hangover. I thought I was the only one that called it that, but I was wrong. Look what I came across this morning. Shelly is the one with the super-cool blanket!

And that's about it. The professional ones aren't ready yet. I'm hoping more people email me better pictures than I already have.

Only scrapbook store on Maui

SUC54445, originally uploaded by a-chan.

The first day on Maui, my new brother-in-law's fiance tells me about this store, Island Paperie. The only scrapbooking store on Maui! The biggest selection of tropical and Hawaiian themed items in the world.... that's what they claim at least and I'm not arguing!

Anyways, I ended up spending over $70 on two separate days. I bought a bunch of stickers and die-cuts the first time and then realized I had only gotten a few sheets of paper... So I went back and got $20 worth of paper. A bit more than I spend for paper normally, but it was cool tropical paper. I couldn't resist. Now I've just got to find the time to scrapbook.

I did not knit at all on vacation. I did pull it out on the flight over there, but I knit a few rows and decided to not continue on that scarf.... Anybody know what I should use my one skein of Sea Wool for?

I did go to a yarn store in Lahaina, but they were closed. I took a pictures, though. I had already done so much damage with the whole scrapbooking thing that I decided I didn't really need to go there.
